Those that know me personally, know that I'm a busy sort of person and I like it that way. I'm not one to sit around and just feel sorry for myself for having this disease. So this Big Pink Give effort, for me, is a matter of being proactive and positive.
After receiving my diagnosis, and along the road of this journey, I found myself in need of certain things to keep organized and other things that were just nice to have and use in order to be comfortable.
I decided to save other women the time and hassle of having to shop for these same things. There are so many other things to worry about and think about at this time. If there is something I can do to help others, I want to do it.
The women who receive our care packages will know that others care, people that don't even know them. This happens when YOU GIVE, your giving helps us fill these care packages.
In a time of life when it would be easy to back out of life in general, the women who receive our care packages feel good when they see all the wonderful things that YOU'VE donated to them in support of the pink cause.....The Big Pink Give!
My name is Sally. I have breast cancer. Yes, it's a terrible disease. But it is what it is. I'm just one of many, many women battling this disease. I look at this as my "pink chapter" in life. It's just something to get through and come out on the other side being a stronger person!
I've named this organization "The Big Pink Give" and it's named after the current hit TV show, Oprah's Big Give. It's all about giving. The world will be a better place when we can all come together and give to one another. Pay It Forward!
We are filling these care packages with things that are not only needed to travel down this "pink journey" of our lives, but also with some comfort items as well, just to help make this journey a little easier for all women.
Your donations are very much needed and you'll know that you are helping to ease the lives of many--your mother, your sister, your aunt, your wife, even your own daughter or granddaughter.
Our organization, inspired by Oprah's Big Give, is dedicated to comforting women who have been or are being diagnosed with breast cancer - every single day.
Ohio is one of the top states in the United States that has the highest number of women being diagnosed with this dreadful disease on a DAILY basis. Thousands all over the United States are diagnosed every day.

PLEASE PURCHASE "HOPE"
FOR SOMEONE YOU KNOW
or sponsor her for one of our recipients!
She is just awesome. Soft and plushy and she sings a very fitting song.
One of our readers sent me "Hope" as a gift, just because she said "everyone needs a surprise sometimes and we all need hope in our lives!"
So, I've decided to make her available to anyone who wants to surprise someone they know and love (MY Hope bear is NOT the one that's for sale, but you can get or send one of your own!).
19" Hope has a pink fleece poncho with boa trim, and a very soft "minky" pink hat with a big bow. Organza and satin ribbon accents. Head sways & mouth moves while singing “I Hope You Dance”.℗ Chair not included.
